6 Members complete advance cooking training with Ejay

6 members of SIWIBA who operate food services in the formal sector successfully complete an advance training with EJAY cooking class on May 13th at the residence of the facilitator Mr. Jay Daloafu. The small training covered advance dishes and pastries. The training target formal food services sectors to excel in their cooking skills as well  as encouraging healthy preparations and menue.

The training was successful with members receiving their certificate after the completion of the training 

SIWIBA acknowledge DFAT for their contniues support towards the training activities.

Costing and Pricing Training

Just after a cooking training SIWIBA members undergo 3 days costing (23th to 25thMay) and pricing training facilitated by SBEC

The training is set to give members the skills and knowledge to develop costing and pricing strategies for their products and services.

SIWIBA have been giving out similar trainings to its members since 2015 especially for new members and those members who wish to recap on their costing and pricing.

The training close with remarks and details from DFAFT, SIWIBA secretariat and the Members

 15 women were part of the training and received certificates during the closing

SIWIBA May Meres Market

SIWIBA celebrate the Meres Market with “International Midwifery Day “ hosted by the midwifery council here in Solomon Islands. The market which happen from 24 to 26 may was a substitute to Junes 2016.

The market was a great event where members involved in promotions, dancing and selling of products and services

SIWIBA made awareness programs, demonstration on business sales and gestures and cooking demonstrations which really attract the public especially men who wish to cook for their wives on mother’s day.

SIWIBA draw some good crowd apart from other normal market.

Awards were given to members as acknowledgement for members who participate the meres market program.

SIWIBA acknowledge DFAT for supporting the  programs and activties
