SIWIBA members complete international training

Two members of the Solomon Islands Women in Business Association (SIWIBA) have successfully completed an internship program in International Training on Seashell Crafting for Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG) Countries in Jakarta, Cirebon, 1st – 7th December 2015.

The two members, Mrs. Jenny Berry and Ms. Rose Tagini participated as SIWIBA representatives on the invitation from the Indonesian government through its Embassy in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

Mrs. Berry and Ms. Tagini joined members of other MSG countries to participate in the one week program.

The two SIWIBA participants were sent to ensure they added value to their skills on seashell crafting and will deliver trainings to other SIWIBA members in Honiara later this year.

SIWIBA wish to acknowledge the Government of Indonesia for recognising the potential of Melanesian women in crafting and for their assistance to develop the skills in order for women to achieve more.

SIWIBA acknowledge the Australian Government through DFAT as the lead donor to support its programs and activities.
