SIWIBA meets with SI Ambassador to Cuba

The Solomon Islands Women in Business Association (SIWIBA) Board and Secretariat representatives had the honour to meet with the Solomon Islands Ambassador to Cuba, His Excellency Simeon Bouro.

It was an opportunity to meet on Tuesday and discuss how the Solomon Islands Embassy in Cuba can be a partner with SIWIBA in securing opportunities for SIWIBA members in terms of learning, culture exchange and marketing for capacity building.

H.E Bouro highlighted that the Embassy of Solomon Islands in Cuba recognized such opportunities to build Solomon Islands.

He also highlighted that women’s intentions results positively in Cuba and that Solomon Islands women can gain advantage with the current Embassy in Cuba.

SIWIBA representatives were also informed that opportunities are also available in other countries including Mexico, Brussels, Philippines and Indonesia.

H.E Bouro said that with a strong support from the government, SIWIBA may settle for learning opportunities, culture exchange, agriculture and marketing network.

The Ambassador stated that venturing to establish partnership for Solomon Islands in Cuba is highly encouraged for Solomon Islands, not only through education but in other areas of opportunities as well.

The Ambassador has given assurance to support SIWIBA in establishing connections with Cuba.

SIWIBA highly acknowledged H.E Bouro for his time to meet with representatives of the organization to share positive way forward for its women members.
