SIWIBA Annual General Meeting Held
The Solomon Islands Women in Business Association (SIWIBA) held its 5th Annual General Meeting at the YWCA conference on 26th May 2016.
The AGM was set to discuss all reports within SIWIBA to their members and share upcoming activities for 2016 as of May.
Board and Secretariat had the opportunity to share reports and interact with members on matters that will take SIWIBA forward in the coming months.
The report also included the financial auditor’s report as of 2014 – 2015 with 3 months inserts of 2016 to keep members updated on the finance of SIWIBA.
Highlight for members was the formal announcement of the upcoming SIWIBA Women in Business Awards set to take place Saturday 9th July 2016 at the Heritage Park Hotel.
This was followed by announcement of an event that will lead up to the awards, which is the “SIWIBA Mini Trade Fair” that will take place 4th – 8th July 2016.
Both events will be the first ever to be hosted in the country for business women and a milestone for SIWIBA.
Two Committees have been formed to ensure preparation and implementation is within timeframe.
SIWIBA acknowledge the support of all supporters and DFAT for the continuous support towards its programs and activities.
