SIWIBA Receives Support from National Fisheries Development towards their Women in Business Awards in July 9th 2016
Solomon Islands Women in Business Association has received yet more positive support, this time from the National Fisheries Development (NFD) Limited.
NFD General Manager, Mr. Frank Wickham officially handed over SBD$50,000 in support of SIWIBA’s Women in Business Award as Platinum Sponsor.
The handover took place last week Friday at the Monarch Bar & Grill (IBS) during a Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) Business After 5 that was hosted by NFD.
Mr. Wickham acknowledged partnering with SIWIBA towards the Women in Business Award soon to be held on the 9th of July 2016 at Heritage Park Hotel.
He emphasized on the need for bigger companies to recognize the effort of entrepreneurs and support small business initiatives.
In response, the SIWIBA President (Ag), Mrs. Julie Gegeu Haro expressed gratitude to NFD for their positive response to partner with SIWIBA as the only Platinum Sponsor towards the Awards.
She also acknowledged SIWIBA members, DFAT and corporate sponsors for their support in empowering women in business economically.
Meanwhile, SIWIBA Coordinator, Nina Tuhaika in closing remarks acknowledged NFD for their sponsorship and also all corporate sponsors who have supported SIWIBA towards the “milestone event”.
Ms. Tuhaika highlighted spaces remaining for Platinum and Gold sponsorship packages.
