SIWIBA Members Recruited for Australia-Pacific Technical College (APTC) Training

SIWIBA supported three of our members to be recruited for APTC training in Fiji and Samoa for first six months of this year. Unfortunately, the one studying in Samoa was unable to complete her studies due to being sick being pregnant and has to return home. However, APTC has given her the opportunity to complete her studies in 2019.

SIWIBA supports its members with these opportunities by identifying courses that match members’ needs, assisting with the application process and encouragement, mentoring and support and endorsing applications.

Ms Rose Korinihona and Ms Lilita Eta completed their APTC training in Fiji to achieve Certificate III- Applied fashion Design and Technology. APTC trainings are excellent ways to meet other people working in your chosen field and develop networks, ideas and also sometimes mentors. This achievement also means that Rose and Lilita now have internationally-recognized, formal qualifications that will support them to develop in their chosen businesses. They can also become SIWIBA’s resource people.
