SIWIBA Receives Assistance from Australian Government for PNG Women in Business Expo in PNG
The Solomon Islands Women in Business Association (SIWIBA) receives assistance from the Australian Government through its Australian Aid (DFAT) to participate at the PNG Digicel Women in Business Expo in Port Moresby this month, July.
This assistance will go towards accommodation cost and transportation/security for the 8-member SIWIBA team who will represent the Association at the Expo organized by the PNG Women in Business.
Minister Counsellor from the Australian High Commission, Ms. Sue Connell handed over a cheque to the team on the 23rdJune at the Australia High Commission Annex in Honiara.
SIWIBA Coordinator, Nina Tuhaika who is the leading front of the initiative expressed that the participation will foster networking and business links for members of SIWIBA with other businesses within the Pacific region.
Ms. Tuhaika said this is an opportunity to reflect and promote SIWIBA and Solomon Islands off shores in the long run.
The team will be in PNG for 18 days to trade and network.
This trip is the first ever of its kind for SIWIBA to involve ordinary members of the Association to gain experience and to learn more.
SIWIBA wishes to acknowledge DFAT who is the core donor of the Association’s existence and their great contribution towards recognizing SIWIBA’s initiative to sustain the Association’s growth and development in the long run.
