SIWIBA August Mere's Market
Solomon Islands Women in Business Association (SIWIBA) bi-monthly Mere’s Market commences on the 29th to 31st August at the National Art Gallery.
This initiative strives to empower SIWIBA women and the event will take place for 3 days.
The Mere’s Market will involve competitions, promotions, selling of products and awareness programs.
Yesterday, the Association received contributions from the Solomon Islands leading tuna industry, SOLTUNA and the popular PRO31 Shop.
The collective support received is intended to award competitions that will be happening at the Mere’s Market.
A token of $1,202.10 worth of SOLTUNA Products and $600 worth of voucher cards from PRO31 Shop was received in support of the event’s small competitions.
SIWIBA Mere’s Market Chairlady, Melanie Poloso expressed her deep gratitude towards the contributions.
“The Mere’s Market will always be an avenue to empower our women economically and enhancing extra value towards our women’s economic activities will certainly boost their capabilities and creativity in the economic sector,” Ms. Poloso said.
Ms. Poloso adds that Mere’s Market helps encourage women in Solomon Islands to take pride in their potential to build customer relationship, business networking and income for their families.
Mere’s Market is proud to host its happy hour each day from 5 to 6 pm where prices will go down on discount rates for selected products.
SIWIBA and its members welcome the general public to be part of the event.
